Friendship blocks for March!

Yes, it's that time again.....

Friendship + and x blocks for March are here!

Well, they may not be here in person,

but they are here on the blog!

These are the blocks I made for Carla.....

Chocolate and cherries- YUM!

Here they are sharing some time together

before they were sent on their way...

I made one with the colour-way variation again.

Can you see it?

And here are Carla's for me....

Look at that rogue turquoise one!

You are a scallywag, Carla!

It is starting to get exciting...

Only two months to go!

Happy sewing!

Playing...

When I showed you these scraps,

I intended to play with them!

And this is the result....

the back...

the back first, before I ironed it!

This measures just 11 and 1/4 inches.

As does this one!

the back...

I'm thinking of either combining them into a mini,

I even like the angles of the seams in this one...
with another one.

Or should I keep them separate?

I have plenty more of these scraps to play with,

 in the meantime!

Happy sewing!

Something had to give....

When nursing duties took over,

the blogging went first!

Then the sewing!

But I'm still here!

 I've manage to make....

a solid spiderweb block for Cindy!

pieced more of my Scrappy Sandwiches,

and spend some time playing with even more scraps!

Just a 'sneak peek' of the back at the moment!
And today I cut into my precious little

 Liberty stash....

to make a new cushion.

Finally, I have a new addition to my library.

Kathy Doughty's new book has some amazing

inspiration,

not just in pictures but words too!

Would you like a review?

Here's to more sewing days,

and less nursing ones!

Happy days!

Tending....

Mr PnP's bruises and broken bones....

(I'll save you the photos!)

and my stash!

If a girl can't sew, she can still shop!

From Darn Cheap Fabrics....cheep, cheep!

All great buys for $7.50 a metre!

From G & J Fabrics

The bottom two are just 20cm x WOF ($1 each!)

The Saffron Craig will make a great binding, don't you think?

Pantone's Radiant Orchid is popular

 at the moment....

The "Kei" on the left is from Polka Dot Tea Fabrics, the Lizzy House from Big W!

So I put together my own little bundle .

And to finish off my shopping spree....

and

All from Polka Dot Tea Fabrics!

Those who know me well may know which one of these made me squeal when I saw it!

Now, what should I make...suggestions being taken!

Happy days!

A Rainbow Sandwich!

or two,

or three....

A picnic in the making?

Can you guess what this will become?

Reminds me of the saying,

"When life gives you lemons..."

Well, when life gives you scraps, make sandwiches!

Happy sewing!

Welcome March!

I am a little late with my Polaroid calendar page

for this month...

A visit here may have had something to do with it!

With the weather becoming cooler,

I have chosen a different colour palette for Autumn,

and the theme of animals for March!

I've quilted with my favourite Aurifil

#2600- a lovely silvery grey!

which blends very nicely with this

pastel turquoise solid!

Mr Fox came to visit....

He has his eye on that bird, don't you think?

Happy days coming....

as bones mend!
